Please Help... Orphaned Wood Duck Ducklings

Orphaned Wood Duck ducklings are almost impossible to raise in captivity. They will readily accept a different female Wood Duck as a new adoptive mother. Since we receive several ducklings every summer (mostly due to the adult being run over by a careless driver), we would like to try placing these young with adopotive families. If anyone sees a Wood Duck family (female with young) we would appreciate an e-mail with the following information: Exact location, date, approximate age of ducklings, time of day, and if possible a phone number to contact for further information.

As we receive orphans of all different ages throughout the breeding season, updates of previous sightings or reports of any new sightings would be great.

The same information about Killdeer and Mallards could also be very helpful. We're not sure if Killdeer, Wild Turkey, American Woodcock or other precocial birds would accept adoptive young (or if the young would accept the adult), so any leads to information on this subject would be appreciated.
